BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Teo Kah Beng has been in the teaching profession for the past fifteen years.

After graduating with a Master’s Degree (International Relations) from the Australian National University, he joined the Singapore Foreign Ministry, where he served a three-year posting to Egypt.  His work experience includes the local banking sector where he was involved in economic research and investment banking.

Dr. Teo has been teaching an Introduction to International Relations (IR) degree course (University of London) at the Singapore Institute of Management since 1998.   He is also an Associate Lecturer with the School of Business at SIM University.  He was awarded a PhD degree (International Relations) by the National University of Singapore (NUS) in November 2010.  His doctoral dissertation focused on East Asian regional security, in particular the major driving forces shaping regional integration within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
